Analysis and Reflection
It's an analysis of my process for creating the podcast/microsite in WR39A, and a reflection of my progress toward course objectives.
Pre-Production: Preparation and Planning
The first screenshot is my first read and annotates assignment, the second screenshot is my first watch and annotates assignment, and the last one is my first blog published on WIX.
The first one increases my ability to communicate with the text, giving me a better reading skill. The second one gives me a better ability to communicate with the video. The third one makes me better to communicate with others.
They all the first assignment I have done in a given part, so they increase my ability the most.
Production: Creating the Podcast and Microsite
The first image comes from the script of our podcast in which part I am in charge of. I believe it's insightful because when we are making the outline, we make so much discussion among this part. I also believe making this annotation makes me approach the course objective better because I got to really understand the text.
The second image shows what I did in our group. I'm in charge of finding background music for our podcast, and those are some pieces of music that I send to our group members. Finding appropriate music makes me get a better understanding of how to communicate with the audience in an efficient way.
The last one shows what do I write about in the script. Making the script teaches me how to communicate with the audience better. It also makes me communicate with the text better because I got to read to make the script.
Looking Ahead in Three Paragraphs
The topic we initially want to talk about in our podcast is "toxic masculinity," but we find that it has too few things we can talk about by using no more than 3 movies. Then we decide to talk about the change in gender roles of males and females in Disney films. But we find that this topic could not answer the question proposed by the class. From this experience, I learned to read the question carefully before trying to answer it and to chose the topic carefully.
Through this experience, I learned how to work with others remotely and asynchronously. We take this class at a special time, and we all learned remotely, so we developed these two skills that we will not get if we take this class in-person. It's a quite important and useful skill. People got to cooperate with others, and this skill will make many benefits in the future because it makes the cooperation more flexible.
By making the script of the podcast, I know what should I encompass in my paper. I find some sources that I can use while talking about Frozen. I also make some specific statements with the help of my groupmates. I believe I will also include that statments in my paper.
